It's been almost three months now that i am in college. In Bhutan, if we are in school, at this time of the year we would be expecting for the winter break but here in college, in India we are getting christmass holiday though we buddhist donot celebrate. We have got about 15 days and few of our friends decided to go on trip to Hyderabad popularly known as the land of pearls.
It was 6 hours journey from our college, moved at 12p.m and reached there around 6p.m. As soon as we stepped out of bus, a group of auto drivers was forwarding towards us with an uneven staring. We got up with two of them as we were eight in number and they landed us in a standard hotel as our friends described. The next day, we started our journey around Hyderabad. First day, we went to the wonderful shopping mall where all kinds of things were available in effective prices compared to other shops. At one moment i felt like i would buy the shop itself getting attracted towards the beautiful clothes, shoes and various items. I got hold of 2 jeans, one formal pant, 4 t- shirts, 2 collar shirts, 3 socks and a shoe. That was for my body, rest lots of other items ate up my pocket visiting other shopping malls. Our day ended with shopping itself, going here and there, not getting up well with auto drivers, stuck in between the numerous vehicles, crossing the road without the traffic signal was almost impossible, watching the vehicles itself gave me pain in my eyes. Bhutan's population seemed more than India's vehicles. We reached weary in our rooms, got hold of remote control and browsed through the channels. My eyes and ears got enraptured with a man with a headphone and a recording mike infront of him singing the song ' why this kolaveri kolaveri di'. It was the song getting sweetly into the ears of most people not only Indians but other foreigners too.
Next day we woke up with a sweet tea and a shower and headed to our next mission to visit the unique sites. Firstly, we went Charminar which means 'char-four' and 'minar-tower', four tower which is listed among the most recognised structures of India. Its 149 winding steps almost made me vomit but reaching above and giving my eyes the scene of big Hyderabad flashed off my sickness. We did some flash on pictures, met a guide who was explaining us about the history of it, took round of it and reached back down. Next we went to the snow world, a place where snow had been made artificially temperature regulated and giving the sense of being in a mountainous place. It had been a long time since i have enjoyed playing with snowballs and snowman. We did snow fight, danced as the music was also on, took a coffee and slided upon the long ice skating route and all this thing made me remember my childhood memories in Thimphu changangkha during late 1990s when i was just 8 years old, i would bring a cup and fill up the cup with snow, make it into a shape and store it till it would have melted into a liquid.
Thirdly, we went to i-max where wonderful playgrounds were available. Most wonderful was the scary house, it was dark inside, we were holding eachother but could not see, dead bodies were made artificially, eyes bulging into red fire, various scary sounds were coming from nowhere, it was really scary actually but was a funny experience too..haha..Then we went up to a Mc Donalds to fill up our stomach, had some eating programmes with pizzas and burgers..yummy..it was. Next we played various games and in the mean time i won a small doll...Hurray! i shouted, but not loudly..Night fell within no time and we were back to our hotel rooms. The other days was a day without not much things to do..we went to a chinese restaurant where the propieter was a chinese and his shop's speciality was 'momo'. Wow! i didn't eat momo for a long time and i gave my satisfaction to the fullest. My friends went to do some shopping but three of us went back to hotel as we were quite tired. Harry potter ate me up the rest of the day as it was luckily on the channel. We decide to come back to our college the next day as our purse was giving us a negative signal though we wanted to stay. Early evening we got into bus and reached our destiny at around 9. Was a memorable moment..
Thanks to the christmass holiday..
