To Devangere: An unexpected Journey.

For five days, I was out on an unexpected journey accompanying my friend. I only had my mobile facility through which I kept the update of new post by other bloggers and with my facebook. Well, with this five days stay at Devangere, I have collected few rays of my experiences which I want share. Let me make it into a story like form in a way to give a new taste to my blog. The journey is divided into parts since it will be very long otherwise to read in one go. Hope you guys enjoy it!!

It was 1.37 a.m. Setting inside the bus, the rumbling noise and the trembling motion. Half asleep, half awake, eyes dancing with pain of sleeplessness because, every time I closed my eyes, the sudden jerking off the seat whenever the bus passed on the bumper just knocked off the sleep. Sore butt having to be seated continuously for  5 hours then and had still four more hours. Kinley, next to my seat, her hair tidily made into a bun with few of her hair fringes dancing with the rush of air coming from the window. Both legs pulled up on the seat, folded completely, squeezed on the chair and battling hard to get some sleep. Beside me was, Sanketh, my local friend who was bus phobic, hated travelling through bus but he made an exception this time.  Peldon on the other hand, after 6 hours of anxiety, tension, and worries has finally fallen asleep.

5:45 p.m, 7 hours earlier, I was as usual, facing the laptop browsing through news feed. Dazz came inside my room pushing in the door hard and told me to call Peldon. I reached for my phone. 4 miscalls!! No wonder, it was from Peldon. I called back. It was Kinley from the other side. She told me, Peldon’s practical exam is confirmed and she has been placed in Devangere, 300km away from our place  and she has to move the night itself since the exam was to start  just the next day after tomorrow. Peldon called me again the next time. Her voice was shaking, sounded like, she was about to burst into tears anytime. She told me to get ready and pack the required things needed for five days. She was suddenly told by our professor about the exam  which made her panic with anxiety and worry. I was to accompany her along with Kinley. Sanketh came along with us being a protective shield. He told he will get us all settled up properly and will drive back the next night itself. Indians especially the auto drivers, get their nerves up when they see chinky, fair people like us and it is quite unsafe to travel to places in India if we haven’t been before.

At around 5:30 a.m the next day, the dawn had just broken, we smelled the morning freshness of Devangere. The streets were dead silent with no people, we made our way towards Chetana Hotel. We had the rooms reserved. Weary and tired, for four hours then, all of us lied flat on the bed.

Pizzatic omelet...Covered the whole plate.

Buzzing of people and honking sounds of vehicles outside became alive and woke me up. From the balcony of the hotel, I could see the road has finally become the mini Mumbai traffic, autos and cars trying to find way and bikes and scooters squeezing through the small spaces in between. Peldon came knocking inside our room and told us to get ready for we had to find the college where she was to do the exam and get familiar with the labs and equipments. We pushed in one plate of puri each in our belly and a tea. Then we caught an auto to drive us towards the college.

“Sanjeevene College of Paramedical Sciences”, the sign board read, hanged on the wall beside the door of the three storied building. We entered the wide open door, 2-3 dried flower pots were lined up below the window. In an opening, we came into a corridor and against each side was alternative doors with small name board attached above the doors reading “office room”, “Principal”, “Assistant” and finally "staff rooml”. Peldon went inside the Principals chamber while we waited outside. She looked pale when she came back. She said the principal seemed strict and she was worried she would have hard time during exam. She was told to meet the final year B.Sc Lab technology boy who was in the laboratory up in third floor. Just few steps away from the principal’s chamber was a small, cramped stairs leading to second and then third floor. The second floor was dead empty and the corridor seemed like, a white witch would pop out from the doors anytime. Third floor opened into a wide hall like room where chairs were placed and we could hear girls laughing and making noises. Suddenly, the noises seized. It was a classroom. A teacher had just entered the class. Overall, it took me back to my primary school arena and I felt humorously funny watching the grown up college students acting like children.

The one and the only Building.

1st floor

2nd floor. Do you see the white witch there??:P

Sanketh is bored terribly:3rd floor.

Just opposite to the class was the lab. Inside we went and met the final year boy. Peldon had her discussion about the exams, oriented through the equipments placed on the tables. One set of ESR stand, a centrifuge beside, small hot air oven and an analytical balance placed behind it. “Bavana”, a practical record book on the table read. I lifted up and was browsing through it. Soon, a big girl with papers on her hand came inside the lab with a huge smile on her face. She greeted us with gentle smile and introduced herself as being one of the student to do exam. She saw the book on my hand and took it away saying it was hers. Peldon instantly got close with her, asked her about the exams, made uncountable queries. They got acquainted quite well and she was glad she got a nice company. Finally we came outside and got into the auto. Peldon poked through the opening of  the  auto and said “ Bouna, bye, see you tomorrow”. “Bounap yaa, what’s bounap?”, I asked Peldon humorously. Kinley on the other hand, gave a sharp, ear pinching laugh who was sitting beside me. “ Its bouna, her name”. Suddenly I remembered the name on the practical book. “Zai, its  Ba-va-na, not bouna or bounap” I corrected and we drove off laughing out loud.We reached back to hotel. Our stomachs were already grumbling by then. There was a restaurant below. We went inside and got seated on to the family chamber. Mushroom fried rice for two girls, vegetable biriyani for Sanketh and I ordered for vegetable noodles. As we waited for the order to arrive, I could hear the whirling of the fan hanged above our head, children and wives shouting on the other table and an old hindi song was buzzing from old sound box attached on the corner somewhere.

There was no work then, all of us once again drenched into sleep. At 8:30, I went to drop Sanketh till bus station, got the ticket back to Raichur confirmed and came back to hotel where I saw Peldon busy with books and Kinley browsing her mobile lying on the bed. There was four days ahead of us. Peldon had her work to do. Kinley and me, had no idea, how we were going to kill the time.

My time pass in the hotel room. A door sized mirror infront.

Tomorrow at sharp 8 a.m, we reached at the examination centre, wished her luck and soon she disappeared into the lab. For 1 hour, two of us waited outside, talking about usual things. Next one hour, we strolled around the area, terrifying the people around seeing two chinky couple walking almost hand in hand together. I could read their expressions, the way they stared. We came back and waited for another one hour. Peldon came out with satisfying look and she was happy with her performance. Next day was a break for her, so to kill the few more hours of the day, girls insisted to go explore the shopping malls. On the way towards hotel, they saw jeans and shirts hanged on the shops and instantly, I could see excitement on their faces. After lunch, we went from shop to shop. Both of them caught an item each. I just gave a look on shirts but didn’t buy a thing.  We ate up almost all shops, one by one but reached back to hotel tired with only two items that two of them bought earlier. The day ended with few mushroom spring rolls for dinner and three bottles of water. It was one hell of a day, three more days lie ahead.

Mushroom spring roll.

Second part of the Journey to be continued………..

Happiness....... Togetherness.......

Father, fist of the family bound by his strong love philosophy and clean heart, heads his family with radiation of  happiness shining from all sides. Supported by his other half, his wife guided by her own principles of running the family by keeping the mind and body of all members together nurtured with bubbles of love poured in hearts of all.
Placed on the palanquin garden of paradise, father and mother are considered gods by their four children. More of friends than siblings are how these childrens live by. A big joint family of in laws, chacha, chachi(paternal uncle and aunt) , mama, mami,(maternal uncle and aunt) family doctor, friends are all crumbled together in being love with the family where laughter and smiles guides the air inside  " Home" .
This is what we call "Hum saath saath hai"(togetherness).

The 1999 bollywood movie "hum saath saath hai" featuring various artist including Salman khan,Saif ali khan, Tabu, Karishma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre is one movie where there is no emotional family drama at all and all in all, from first to end, movie is an example of  how a  family bound with love and understanding can fight against all odds.

Respect for parents, elders , love, care and attention for children, between spouses, friends and all family members be it even a servant, is what keeps the Home "Home" and not just the rented "house". You enter a home and you start hearing laughter and smiles all around, even a stranger coming for the first time feels lighter in heart to evenly except the tea offer directly without having to hesitantly say "no, it's fine" 3 to 4 times finally to accept.
But this movie also shows how a small stain of negative thoughts against a family member will ruin the love and respect going on strong for so many years just within a second. It will effect not only two or three people, but all the members who had been interconnected emotionally to the family. This we can see in most of the Bhutanese families . Why do we see an old father sitting on a bus station public seat having said to be thrown out of house by son, daughter or in laws? Why do we hear the cases between siblings fighting for the lands and properties. Why do we encounter dozens of small  children roaming in streets with bare foot, teenagers drooled on with drugs?

\
Hum 7 7 hai shows the answer of why. There will be handful of people pouring in negativity into our hearts, we would encounter situations or moments of despair, we might be hated by our loved ones , we might be discouraged, but as long as we trust each other and keep our mind clean without hatred, even an excavator like stone hard machine would thick twice before eyeing the house. Love cleanses all dirt in mind. Smile refreshes the mood and laughter brightens the dullness. That is how we will always be 'HUM SAATH SAATH HAI".

Blogging Enthusiasts

Every time i come across a blogger's page who are new to me, i instantly fall for their expression of thoughts into words. Every blogger individually has different way towards the approach of words but the passion and ability for writing are equally strong in every bloggers.

Of late i have been enthusiastically reading the blog posts of Mr.Thinley Kuenzang(or Pelden Sonam Nima, guess he kept it after his daughters' name) from his blog web here. I didn't read all yet, i'm on my way and i 'm just struck by his way of expressing his thoughts, feelings, opinions on various topics and fields. His every post that i have read, i enjoyed it thoroughly. I came across his blog from one of the blogger's page and i'm trying to follow him but it's not working due to some problem with my account. I'm trying to figure out on that.
I made a line by line look onto the various labels he has put upon on the last part of his page. He has a great variety of choices for the readers. The labels itself occupies a think space below. He has  his own say and his own say gives way to different varieties of topics, be it family, work, nature, photography, politics, animal, love, life, news, movies, interest, inspirations, rules, law, anger, happiness etc. He had pulled the strings from all the corners and gathered bountifully into his freedom platform.

.
Similarly, for the first time, it was through the Diary of Passu, reading his life stories, incidence, opinions, feelings that my love of blogging grew. He as well has a very strong say on whatever topics he writes with a mix of few humorous languages which i like the most. Sir Riku's post always brought peace in me. He had always something fresh and heart touching . His Blog Page itself is so simple and light colored which exactly correlates with his post and his opinions on diverse nature topics. I haven't seen him changed his blog template ever since i started visiting his blog and i guess he knows that, there isn't any far better template to describe him than his current one. Abyss of freedom with my friend Monu who introduced me into the blogging universe is also an active blogger who has so many things to write. Within a speck of time, he would complete writing his blog whereas for me, it takes longer time. Be it political, personal or anything, he has always a strong point and his ability to bind words on words with magical rhythm makes me admire his work a lot. Like wise Sherub Tenzin, Sangay cholden, Tashi Gyem, Langa tenzin, Sogyal, most of the bloggers, individually has so much to pour out and i'm so proud of how much capable  Bhutanese are in terms of  one's expression of thoughts and opinions.

As of blogs aboard, i have no contact much. I have only come across Rima Reyka.., an Indonesian Chinese living in Singapore, a blogger who entered into blogging at around 2004 and till now has been consistently maintaining the blog almost everyday. Ever since, i read her first topic on Bhutan, i have been reading all her experiences being in tour all around Bhutan, to the places where i haven't reached also and her expression of emotions into simple words are indeed of great admiration. She has so many things to write everyday and with cute, funny pictures she attaches, her blog flavor seems much more sweet.

Journey with Choki Gyeltshen is indeed so beautiful and peaceful. He is much more into photography almost regularly to post pictures. His magical pictures of animals, wild flowers, forest, trees are just astounding. With his images, i meet with the rich existence of flora and fauna lying in deep corners of our own country, learn their names and feel their immense beauty inside out of our heart. If you too wish to see...click here, i'm sure you would feel the touch too.

Like wise, i know there are many more bloggers now as well as bloggers yet to come within the circle of our  own thunderous land  who has these similar  great ability with words and write ups. I haven't come across many till now. Above are few of those enthusiastic bloggers whom i appreciate a lot for their work and i go  through their blog almost regularly. Without a break, they have post chain after chain on diverse topics and it is indeed so great that because of them only, the blogging has become a recognizable personal activity to be cherished and enjoyed thoroughly at any time, anywhere, whenever we want.

I have just joined two and half years back, and i have learned many things from blogging and bloggers and yet still more to learn, actually rather want to keep on learning with every new blogs i come across along with the current blogs i  follow.

MUSIC: Food of LIFE

As I strolled down through the music library of my Lumia 720, I caught one of it and the song played…

Choe dha nga…., Shegay mae….,Thuengay mae….., Chamgay mae” “Metshey gee….lamchekhaa….labthuedee jogay maee…” “chu da ngyaimo chamdo zum….tencha chikha choe dha nga…”  with Yeshey Choden and Misty Tandin, the melodious tune goes on ringing softly inside my head, from one end of ear to another, then around the brain and  down touches my heart, relaxes my body as I swiftly lie on the bed, eyes closed  with ear phones plucked inside my ears. The moment of never willing to let go off, flying along with the wave of music, reaching to the place never visited before.
This is the ultimate power of music. How much stressed we are, go and click onto our favorite songs, everything just settles down peacefully. I wonder who the hell came out with this idea of creating music, songs and tunes. If I trace my imagination back to thousandths of years when our ancestors just learned to be civilized and organized, it makes me think of the African like people dancing and singing round and round around a fire, without any proper tunes and songs and to entertain themselves, music just popped out naturally into their lives. May be even our stone-age ancestors would have started singing something like “yaa,,yaaa,,,,wooh..wooh..agalagalagalagaaa…..” (hehehe…)and gradually, it has reached to this stage in  current century.

Whenever we are like “Let’s party”, music is the main ingredient. A dull atmosphere would prevail, if there is no melody around. Music exist where ever there is celebrations, occasions and functions. Even if it’s a young children’s birthday party or an elderly retirement party, there is no fun without some “Dooong doong…..tsheng tsheng…….”.

A romantic date with our loved ones with Arjit Singh’s “Tum hi ho”  or Ugyen Panday’s “choe thongbe nim lay” from background just adds up the heat of hearts being connected. A small gathering of best friends reunion party  with some Ranveer Kapoor’s “sarda Haque….Rockstar”or our own “apar jagee style” rocks the place and rolls the fun all around with excitement.

In movies too, if there was no Singlem melody between Tandin Bidha and Tandin Sonam, I don’t think that the legend of Gasa lamai singye would have been that romantic. Like wise in Bollywood, without Shreya Goshal’s and Sonu Nigam’s “chori kiya re jiya”, Dabaang would have surely slipped away a bit for getting into Box Office. And how the hell would Korean drama’s touch us without its time to time sad and tragedy songs during lonely, melancholy hours of “oppa or jungpyo or oma’s” crying scenes all throughout the episodes. All in all, film industry’s main backbone is MUSIC and without it, maximum of the film would surely go tie tie fuse!!!:P:P

Music has become like one’s basic needs both during one’s depressed and stressed moments(for me, surely its my need during those times) and happiest moments as well. I am sure, music is with everyone and no person on this earth would say “I hate music”. Music are the voice of our feelings and a feeling of freedom and as said by Herhold Auerback “Music washes the soul, the dust of everyday life”…indeed very true.

Ooooo....I love this....!!

Yehehe...I love it far more......!!!

wufffff......i loff it tooooo..!!!

Wait......its my turn now....i loveeeeee EMINEM...:D.!!!

Away from reality, away from stress, a reason to smile, for all music lovers.

Exam freak overnight.

It's 12:30 a.m. Eyes are sore, body skin itchy with the sweats of midnight heat and brain about to blast with full saturation. Tomorrow is my first internal exam for the third year session and just few weeks back, i realized i haven't touched the book at all. In school, i was never a last minute person nor i would say i was constant everyday but i had at least the track of academic session within my control.

College life indeed is so free, no one to scold us, no one to tell us "pecha ta sa", always "trowa tenba jogay", having a great deal of fun BUT a big hammer of overload bangs us hard the night before our exam just like i'm having just now.

A great lump of biochemical synthetic terminologies, enzymatic reactions are still floating inside me currently. I felt i understood the concepts when i finished it but when i try to recollect, i see the heads, legs and the other parts of my theories all dancing separately in different compartments of my brain. It was a hard and tiring day for my brain today. This shall continue for one week.

I see myself there.....just now

Quite thankful though, this internal exam is making me at least go through it once. Otherwise, if it was final, i'm sure i would receive "Babaji ka thulu" during my result time..

Yaa chey!!! Ane zhay.....:P

Thursday 3 April 2014

A rain of false hope.

A rain of hope, perhaps just a rain
Poured down on this deep core of the earth
Thunder growling and lighting flashing prior to it
An immense feel of pleasure, long awaited

Standing tiger straight up from the bed
Cool breeze whispering through tiny holes
Wind of seldom flow took me outside the four walls
Trees and plants were seen dancing with hope

Memories long plunged inside the brain
Moments surrounded by snow and mountains
Walking with chill air kissing the lobe of ear
Resurfacing all the way into my thoughts

Thunder still growling, lighting still flashing
Wet patches of pseudo rain lie dead on the ground
The heat of afternoon still kept the ground warm
Countable rain drops, dried there helplessly

The feeling of disappointment encircled the place
The place so called Raichur, Tiny land of Heat
Music of hope vanished, growling subsided
Deceiving was what, the weather taught us
Another trigger of thought, carried me back to my walls.
